1771 Jam Stove Fire back

Back to Gallery

This fire back was originally used as a pass thru to a Jam Stove, a precursor to a box stove. The heat from the Walk-In fireplace transfers through the fire back to warm the Jam Stove.

The Banner reads: “Let Liberty Be Thine”. This Grecian theme composite of a mythical hunter and a weary warrior together with a Herald of Liberty gives a rich personal portrait of the turbulent times preceding the War for Independence.
