1805. Original Tavern Wicket. Saved from a fire-from the Old Hyde Tavern in Stafford Springs, CT., a popular 22 room tavern in America’s first “spa” town. Taken from a corner in the 2nd floor ballroom. A wicket helped the innkeeper to lock up the liquor on Sundays and election days.
